Laurens Terraneo

Product Specialist ELX & Program Office at Plug Power

Laurens Terraneo has a diverse work experience that includes roles in various industries. Laurens started their career at Plug Power in 2019 as a Product Specialist ELX & Program Office. In this role, Laurens translated Plug Power's strategy and objectives into execution models, provided input for corporate business strategies, aligned objectives and priorities with the sales organization, and directed the development and implementation of cross-PT policies and procedures.

In 2021, Laurens joined Twinning Energy as a Techno-commercial Consultant, where they provided comprehensive mobility solutions in the field of hydrogen mobility. Laurens analyzed business cases, facilitated the realization of total solutions for fleet-owners and public refueling stations, and managed various aspects of hydrogen supply and refueling equipment.

Prior to that, Laurens worked at Frames as a Graduate Student Intern in 2018. Their responsibilities included developing a calculation tool for early stage system parameter definition for PEM-Electrolyzers and progressing into Supply Chain Management for the Hydrogen portfolio.

Laurens also gained experience as a Senior Years Student at Hogeschool Van Hall Larenstein – VHL University of Applied Sciences from 2015 to 2019.

In 2018, they completed an internship at Albemarle Catalysts Company B.V. as a Process Engineer Intern. Laurens was involved in data analysis, design engineering, and cost engineering for improving the clean water heat recovery system.

Furthermore, Laurens worked as a Salesmanager at SQPeople from 2016 to 2017. Laurens was responsible for managing multiple teams of recruiters/captains, driving short-term performance, and providing motivation and mentorship.

Overall, Laurens Terraneo has a strong background in product strategy and development, project management, and technical engineering in the energy and mobility sectors.

Laurens Terraneo attended Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences from 2015 to 2018, where they pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering. Prior to that, in 2013, they were briefly enrolled at the University of Groningen, focusing on Econometrie. Laurens completed their secondary education at Regius College Schagen from 2007 to 2013, earning a degree in Voortgezet Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs, Atheneum, with a specialization in Natuur & Gezondheid.
