Cyrus Tingley

Director, Electrolyzer Sales - North America at Plug Power

Cyrus Tingley has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Cyrus is currently working at Plug Power as the Director of Electrolyzer Sales for North America, where they manage a pipeline valued at over $2.5 billion and has closed deals worth more than $120 million.

Before joining Plug Power, Cyrus worked at Capital Power as the Manager of Business Development from 2018 to 2020. Cyrus was responsible for leading renewable energy projects and deals, helping the company achieve its growth-oriented goals. Some of their notable contributions include being the development lead for a 600 MW hybrid wind-solar-storage project in Oregon and a 78 MW wind project in Missouri. Cyrus also took the lead in ITC Safe Harbor, an initiative for tax credit eligibility.

Prior to that, Cyrus served as the Manager of New Projects and Business Development - Utility-Scale Solar at Penn Energy Trust LLC from 2016 to 2018. Cyrus played a vital role in managing the development and advancement of a photovoltaic (PV) project pipeline in various locations, including the Caribbean, Canada, and Asia. Cyrus was also responsible for leading Penn Energy Trust's entry into new markets through on-the-ground assessments.

From 2010 to 2015, Cyrus worked at Penn Energy Renewables, Ltd. as a Project Manager and Consultation Lead. Cyrus managed the development of a 91 MW utility-scale solar PV portfolio under Ontario's Feed-In Tariff Program. Cyrus'sresponsibilities included overseeing the permitting process, leading consultations and negotiations with Aboriginal and First Nation groups, as well as provincial regulators.

Cyrus also has experience working in the real estate industry. Cyrus worked as an Associate on the Development and Leasing Team at Penn Real Estate Group, Ltd. in 2010, and before that, they held the role of Manager at Ski Base, Inc. in 2009. Additionally, they worked as an Editor and Reporter at The Vail Mountaineer in 2009-2010, showcasing their skills in journalism.

Overall, Cyrus Tingley possesses a strong background in sales, business development, project management, and market entry strategies in the renewable energy sector.

Cyrus Tingley completed their secondary education at The Hotchkiss School, graduating with honors in 2003. Cyrus then pursued their undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies & Economics. In 2018, Tingley enrolled in Harvard Business School Online and completed the CORe Credential of Readiness program the following year. Later in 2020, they obtained a certificate in Leading with Finance from Harvard Business School Online.
