Guzyal Gabitova is currently the Program Manager, Research and Partnerships at Public Library of Science (PLOS). In this role, Guzyal leads a team in reviewing manuscripts and securing peer reviewers and editors for the open-access scientific publisher. Guzyal also previously worked as a Research Analyst and Health Communications Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where Guzyal provided research support and led health education initiatives. Additionally, Guzyal has experience in graduate research, project management, and web design in the public health sector. Gabitova holds a Master of Science in Global Health from the University of California, San Francisco.
