Thom Slaats is currently serving as a Grondstromen coördinator at both Ploegam BV and Terra-Trans since March 2021. Prior to these roles, Thom held positions as Projectleider and Junior projectleider at MILON from January 2017 to March 2021, and engaged in an Afstudeerproject at Gemeente 's-Hertogenbosch focusing on mapping design issues from November 2015 to June 2016. Educational experiences include a Research Assistant internship at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, where research concentrated on plant stress responses, and various laboratory roles, including work at Bejo Zaden and Mars, where Thom acquired skills in plant physiology and product analysis. Thom holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecology from HAS green academy and an MBO in Biochemistry from ROC de Leijgraaf.
