Erik Smits has extensive experience in transportation planning and management, beginning with a role at De Mol Pelikaan Touringcars from August 1992 to June 1996, where responsibilities included planning and administrative support for a fleet of buses. From June 1996 to June 1998, Erik worked at Bavaria in the transport department, focusing on driver coordination during peak periods. Transitioning to Nico Bekx transport from July 1998 to April 2006, Erik held a position related to inventory management and planning for the national and international transport of construction materials. Erik then served as a planner at Van der Donk transport BV from May 2006 to April 2016, specializing in dump truck and crane vehicle logistics for road construction material sales. Since May 2016, Erik has been employed at Ploegam BV as a planner for all transport activities within the Ploegam group, assisting with transport operations under De Klein. Erik's educational background includes studies at Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven and other institutions, culminating in foundational schooling from Mariaschool Vinkel.
