Xochil Herrera Scheer is an accomplished Owner and Pattern Maker at The Chicago Pattern Maker since June 2006, providing freelance CAD pattern making, prototype construction, and design specification services to brands and designers. Xochil also serves as an Adjunct Instructor in Fashion Studies at Columbia College Chicago, co-teaching senior capstone courses focused on the development process in collaboration with brand partners. Currently a Senior Consultant for Pleneri, Xochil lends expertise in fashion design and product development for a progressive garment production company. Additional experience includes freelance tailoring for fashion photography, managing product development at The Apparel Agency, and working as a designer and store manager at Eliana Lily Chicago. Xochil's education includes a BFA in Fashion Design from The Art Institutes and a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University.
