Russ Thompson, CPA, CGA, currently serves as the VP of Finance and Head of Reporting and Consolidation at Plena Global Holdings since March 2019. In addition, Russ co-founded Functional Applications Ltd. in November 2017, where the focus is on mobile app design. Since 2006, Russ has been self-employed, providing a range of accounting, finance, and consulting services. Previous roles include Finance Manager/Controller at Latitude Geographics, Manager of Accounting Services at National Money Mart, and Controller & Co-Founder at Beanstream, now part of Bambora. Earlier in their career, Russ was General Manager & Controller at Paradon Computer Systems Ltd. and a Senior Staff Accountant at Deloitte Canada. Russ holds credentials from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, as well as specialized training in Controllers and CFO programs from the Certified General Accountants Association of BC.
