Joel Peterson serves as the Executive Director at Playworks Wisconsin since January 2019 and as a Teaching Pastor at Praise Temple International Church since May 2013. Previously, Peterson held the position of Manager of Diversity Development and Community Engagement at the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County from May 2015 to January 2019, focusing on diversifying the donor base and strengthening relationships with leadership-level donors. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Emerging Leaders at the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee from August 2012 to December 2014. Education includes a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Theology from Grace Christian College, along with a Bachelor of Science from Howard University.
