Sorin Busicescu has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Sorin started their career at the Tobacco Autonomous Authority of Romania in 1989 and worked as a Software Engineer for several years. Sorin then moved to CBGI Inc in Montreal, Canada, where they continued their role as a Software Engineer. In 1998, Sorin joined Virtual Knowledge in Montreal as a Software Developer. Sorin worked there until 1999 when they transitioned to Las Vegas Sports Consultants as a Software Engineer. Sorin then joined Progressive Gaming Intl. in 2005 as a Software Engineer IV. In 2009, they worked at Stadium Technology Group as a Senior Software Engineer. Sorin then moved to SHFL Entertainment / Scientific Games in 2010 as a Software Development Manager. Sorin was promoted to Engineering Manager in Scientific Games in 2013. Sorin's career continued at AGS - American Gaming Systems in 2015 as a Principal Engineer, and they were later promoted to Principal Engineer Manager in January 2019.

Sorin Busicescu obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Automation & Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, which they attended from 1985 to 1989. Additionally, they attended Concordia University in Montreal, Canada from 1997 to 1998, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown.
