Rich Beyer has been an advisor at Platina Systems since 2013. Prior to that, they were the chairman and CEO of Freescale Semiconductor from 2008 to 2012. During their time at Freescale, they were able to reduce the company's debt by over $2 billion and annual interest payments by $300 million. Rich also successfully completed Freescale's Initial Public Offering on the NYSE in 2011. Before Freescale, Beyer was the chairman of the board at the Semiconductor Industry Association from 2011 to 2012. Rich has also been a member of the Manufacturing Council at the U.S. Department of Commerce from 2010 to 2012.
Rich Beyer has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School in Marketing/International Business, a Master of Science (M.S.) from Georgetown University in Russian Language and Literature, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from Georgetown University in Russian Language and Literature. Rich also has a degree from Leningrad State University named after A.S. Pushkin in Russian Language.
