John Richert serves as the Program and Environmental Sustainability Officer at Plant With Purpose since November 2021. As an Adjunct Professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University since August 2020, Richert also contributes as an Open Water and Specialty Instructor at Force E Scuba Center. Previously, Richert held multiple positions at William Jessup University, including Chair of the Natural Sciences, Lead Faculty of Biology, and Assistant Professor from August 2017 to April 2023, in addition to working as an Adjunct Professor there from September 2013 to May 2017. Richert also instructed at Dolphin Scuba from October 2018 to April 2023 and served as Lead Pastor at Discovery Christian Church from February 2006 to January 2017. Richert holds a PhD in Ecology from the University of California, Davis, a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology from Long Island University, Southampton Campus, and a Master's degree in Ministry and Leadership from Western Seminary.
