Ashley Carter is an experienced educator specializing in secondary science curriculum development and instructional leadership. Currently serving as the Science Coordinator for Plano ISD since July 2020, Ashley focuses on supporting and promoting curriculum aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills across various science courses. Previous roles include Teaching and Learning Content Specialist at Richardson Independent School District, where Ashley developed curriculum, assessments, and professional development opportunities, and Biology Department Lead at Irving ISD, leading curriculum design and data analysis initiatives. Ashley has also contributed as a Curriculum Designer for Art Reaching Out, Life Science Instructor at the Episcopal School of Dallas, and Portfolio Evaluator at The University of Texas at Austin. Ashley holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy and a Master of Education from The University of Texas at Arlington, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
