A. Marlin Payne-Whiteman has had a diverse work experience. They began their career as a James G. Fulton and J. Steele Gow Fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives, where they interned and had the opportunity to research and contribute to legislative development. They then worked as a Student at Saint Vincent College while concurrently serving as a Consultant for Communities In Schools of New Jersey. They also worked as a Summer of Service Fellow at Innovations In Civic Participation.
A. Marlin Payne-Whiteman continued to gain professional experience by working as a Member Service Specialist and Consultant for AAMC, where they focused on strategy and innovation development, as well as member and constituent services. They then served as an Executive Assistant to the President and CEO at Venture Philanthropy Partners.
In 2019, Payne-Whiteman joined Georgetown University Law Center as an Associate Director of Gift and Constituent Data, before moving on to work at Planned Parenthood Federation of America. There, they held multiple roles in the Office of the Chief Operations Officer and Office of the Chief Financial Officer.
In addition to their professional endeavors, Payne-Whiteman was also a member of the 2020 People's Leadership Institute Cohort at Progressive Maryland.
A. Marlin Payne-Whiteman received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Saint Vincent College in the period from 2005 to 2009. In 2008, Payne-Whiteman also attended Marquette University as a Fellow at the Les Aspin Center for Government.
