Desiree Morales is an experienced medical professional and community advocate currently serving as the Medical Assistant Team Lead at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest since August 2019, where responsibilities include training and coaching medical assistants. Previous roles encompass a Community Advisory Board Member at HARC, Inc., where engagement involved interviewing residents about climate change and developing health initiatives, as well as a Research Assistant focusing on COVID-19 guidelines. Additional experience includes serving as a Planetary Health Student Ambassador and organizing educational sustainability events as an EcoRep Intern at the University of California, Merced. Desiree holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the same institution, where an early internship at Kaiser Permanente provided foundational healthcare experience.
