Jasper Dijkstra is a Remote Sensing Scientist at Planet, contributing to the algorithm development of the Planetary Variable: Land Surface Temperature (LST) since December 2022. Previously, Jasper served as a Graduate Intern at Planet, where the master thesis focused on LST retrieval using thermal infrared and passive microwave observations. Prior experience includes a role as Projectmedewerker at Witteveen+Bos, working on the development of a national heat map, and an internship at Climate Adaptation Services, where a workflow for creating a physiological equivalent temperature map was developed. Jasper holds a Master of Science in Earth Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Aardwetenschappen from the same institution.
