Annett Wania is an experienced professional specializing in project management and remote sensing applications, currently serving as an Innovation Project Manager at Planet since January 2021, overseeing a portfolio of Earth Observation research and innovation projects. From November 2014 to October 2020, Annett held the role of Project Manager at the European Commission, managing the Copernicus Emergency Management Service, particularly CEMS-Rapid Mapping, and engaging with diverse stakeholders. Prior experience includes data analysis of environmental impacts at ENGINEERING - INGEGNERIA INFORMATICA - S.P.A. and a postdoctoral researcher position at the European Commission, where Annett managed scientific projects on remote sensing. Annett holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Strasbourg and a Diplom in Geography from Martin-Luther University.
