Sean Higginson is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Planet Innovation, with a background in biomedical engineering and extensive experience in medical device design and development. Prior to this role, Sean served as a Sr. Design/Product Development Engineer at Abbott, where responsibilities included leading the mechanical design team for Class II/III medical devices and developing functional prototypes. Prior experience includes positions as an R&D Engineer at Accel Biotech, Inc., where Sean was involved in the design, prototyping, and testing of biomedical devices, and various internships focused on mechanical design, prototyping, and testing at organizations such as Stratos Product Development and FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc. Sean holds both a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
