Vineet Nayyar serves as the Executive Vice Chairman of Tech Mahindra, a position held since January 2005. Previously, Vineet Nayyar founded and served as the Managing Director of Perot Systems India from 1996 to 2005, during which conversion of HCL Corporation from a hardware to a services company and preparation for an IPO occurred. As the founding Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL (India) Limited from 1986 to 1991, Vineet Nayyar played a crucial role in establishing the HBJ pipeline and gas fractionation plants. Earlier, Vineet Nayyar was the Chief and Head of the Energy Department at The World Bank from 1978 to 1986, leading the Bank's first Energy mission to China and assisting in the development of the country's energy policy.
