Faris Toqan has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as a Freelance Designer for iOS Application at Converse in 2011. Faris designed an iOS application for Converse, specifically focusing on the "Design your own shoe" feature.
In 2010, they worked as an Assistant Journalist at The National, where they conducted research for the Personal Finance Section and wrote three published articles. Faris also played a role in the layout of the Magazine Pages and the mobile app for a Special Edition.
At MIT in 2011, Faris served as a Nuclear Engineering Researcher in the Nuclear Engineering department. Faris conducted tests on various materials for fuel rods, generated models comparing these materials, and collaborated with graduate students on future fuel rod materials.
From 2013 to 2014, Faris worked as a UI/UX Designer at Zealous Amoeba, specializing in developing iOS applications for startups. Their designs combined user-centric design, mobile capability knowledge, and technical expertise, contributing to successful iOS app launches that helped startups raise over $2 million.
From 2014 to 2021, Faris was involved with ONENIGMA as the Owner and Co-Founder/CEO. Their responsibilities involved overseeing the company and its development.
Starting in 2019, Faris took on the role of Investor/Advisor at Leap.
In 2020, Faris joined Cognito as the Head of Design before it was acquired by Plaid later that year. Faris continued working with Plaid as the Head of Design (Identity) in 2022.
Most recently, in 2021, they worked as the Head of Product Design at Sarwa ثروة.

Faris Toqan received their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and High School Diploma with Honors from the American Community School of Abu Dhabi, where they studied from 2006 to 2012. Faris then pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2012 to 2016.
