Darlene Phillips

Darlene Phillips has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Darlene has held various roles at different organizations throughout their career. Starting in 1993, they worked as a Power Systems Engineer at Consumers Energy until 1998. After that, they joined Arthur Andersen Business Consulting as the Manager of the National Energy Business Consulting Group. In 2002, they transitioned to BearingPoint Consulting, where they served as the Manager of the Energy Practice until 2004.

In 2004, they joined the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) and held several positions there. Darlene began as the Director of Change Management, overseeing the implementation of technical and physical changes. Subsequently, they became the Director of Market Operations Planning, where they worked on market efficiency and system reliability initiatives. Darlene also served as the Director of Issues Management, Government and Regulatory Affairs, and the Interim Director of Corporate Communications.

In 2015, Darlene Phillips joined PJM Interconnection as the Director of Strategic Policy Communications. Darlene later became the Senior Director of Strategic Policy and External Affairs, leading the State Government Policy team and coordinating collaboration with stakeholders. Recently, they have been serving as the Executive Director of Operations Engineering Support at PJM Interconnection.

Darlene Phillips obtained their high school diploma in General Studies from Flint Central High School in 1988. Darlene then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, which they completed from 1988 to 1993. Following this, they attended the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business from 1994 to 1998, where they earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Finally, they attended the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law from 2006 to 2010, where they completed their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law.
