David Hankla has a long history of professional experience. David began their career in 2006 as an Assistant Film Editor at The Weinstein Company. In 2007, they worked as an Assistant Manager of Modeling and Surfacing for the film "Bee Movie" at DreamWorks Animation, and also worked as a Cinematographer/Editor for the documentary "An Un-Natural State" at Worthy Foes Productions. In the same year, they founded AGA Entertainment, where they were represented by Brandt Joel and David Sherman (William Morris Endeavor). In 2011, they were the Executive Producer, Director of Operations and Digital Interaction for "The Players Club" on CBS. In 2012, they founded Backpack Enterprises, a student financial aid company. David conducted preliminary market research, designed an auto-population system, and led a user test rating of 4.6/5. In 2016, they were the Manager for the 401(e) Congressional Bill - Federal Student Loan Repayment Restructure to Promote Economic Growth, and also the Director of Innovation at Wiss & Partners LLP. In 2017, they founded ThoughtBox Creative Capital, and in 2020 they were the Director of Business Development at Pixspan.
David Hankla attended St. Albans School (D.C.) from 1996 to 2004 and received a High School Diploma. David then attended Duke University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a BA in Film, Theater Studies, and English.
