Basak Sener Kaya is a hydrogeologist currently employed at Piteau Associates Engineering since March 2017. Prior experience includes serving as a Project Hydrogeologist at Itasca Denver, Inc from June 2011 to May 2016 and as a Visiting Scientist with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from February 2008 to June 2011, where responsibilities encompassed developing tools for landslide assessment and conducting field monitoring of hydrologic conditions. Additional experience includes research assistance at Colorado School of Mines, focusing on slope stability and unsaturated flow, and research and teaching assistance at Middle East Technical University, involving various environmental and geological projects. Basak Sener Kaya holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
