Débora has over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, including 7 years as Head of Marketing and Communications at Technisys, a software development company. Prior to that, they were Redatora-chefe na Pequenas Empresas & Grandes Negócios for two years and then Editora Executiva da Época Negócios for another two years, both at Editora Globo. From 1999 to 2011, Débora worked as Diretora de redação da INFO at Editora Abril. From 1995 to 1999, they were Gerente de contas at S2 Comunicação Integrada (now Weber Shandwick). From 1994 to 1995, they were an English Teacher at CNA Idiomas | Oficial. Finally, from 1989 to 1992, Débora worked in the Departamento de Câmbio / Mesa de Operações at Banco Economico S.A.
Debora Fortes has an Executive Program from Silicon Valley and a Citi Journalistic Excellence Award from Columbia University. Débora also has a Gradução from Universidade de São Paulo and a Curso Estado de Jornalismo Aplicado from O Estado de S. Paulo. Furthermore, they have a Graduação from Universidade Metodista de São Paulo and a Social Media for Journalists (e-learning) from The University of Texas at Austin. Finally, they have certifications from Columbia Business School, University of California, Berkeley, Harvard University, and MIT Sloan School of Management.
