Caijie Zhang is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering and Head of Ads Infrastructure at Pinterest since November 2014. In this role, Caijie has successfully scaled the Ads infrastructure team from over 10 to more than 120 engineers and played a crucial part in driving Pinterest's advertising revenue growth from approximately $300 million to over $3 billion in annual revenue within seven years. Previous experience includes roles as Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Google from 2008 to 2014, where Caijie led the development of Google's Advertising cross-device graph and contributed significantly to the web search indexing system. Caijie's career began at Ask.com as a Senior Software Engineer, managing the crawler team. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University.
