Shreesh Vurutha is currently the Director Product at PhonePe. Prior to this, they were with Swiggy as a Product Manager from June 2015 to October 2017. Shreesh was responsible for building the next generation search and discovery experience at Swiggy. Before that, they were with Amazon as a Category Manager from May 2014 to May 2015. Shreesh was part of the books category team at Amazon.in and was responsible for the overall management of all category related initiatives which included vendor management, key seller management, traffic channel ownership and overall end-to-end customer and seller experience on the site. Shreesh was also in charge of overall subcategory level P&L and marketing initiatives to grow the category. Prior to Amazon, they worked with The Blackstone Group as an intern in their Real Estate Private Equity division from April 2013 to June 2013. Before that, they worked as an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse from May 2010 to May 2012. Shreesh started their career with an internship at GE Aviation in G.E. John F Welch Technology Centre, Bangalore from June 2009 to August 2009.

Shreesh Vurutha received a BTech in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras. Shreesh then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Prior to their MBA, Shreesh completed their 10+2 in Science from National Public School-Rajajinagar in Bangalore, and their 10th grade from St.Joseph's Boys' High School in Bangalore.

They are on a team with Nidhi Gupta - Director Product (Insurance), Sudhanva Rao - Director Product (Customer Acquisition), and Nitin Pulyani - Director Product (Merchant). and Animesh Lahiri - Associate Director Product reports to Shreesh Vurutha. Shreesh Vurutha reports to Vishal Gupta, CPO.
