We are looking for a motivated and driven Sales Team Lead who brings passion to the role as TWM enters an exciting phase of growth.

Purpose of the role - Head of Sales 

Responsible for delivering growth in sales and margin within the TWM business. The role of Head of Sales is to establish a strong sales function that generates new opportunities and maximises current customer opportunities across the business.  The individual will have a personal sales target as well as being responsible for delivering the overall annual sales budget for TWM.

Key Responsibilities - Head of Sales

  • Build and actively lead the sales team to ensure geographical coverage of opportunities and key customers –leading by example, taking ownership of major accounts sales and new business opportunities and their conversion into sales

  • Increase market share by margin by optimising creating and implementing an optimal sales strategy.

  • Put measurement tools in place for direct reports that detail their goals and objectives and measure against targets set.

  • Implement and maintain the weekly sales dashboard for reporting pipeline, opportunities, and sales KPIs.

  • Create and execute a sales strategy that will encompass lead generation, bids & tenders to deliver the budgeted sales revenue and margin annual target

  • Ensure activity levels and sales processes are adequate for the sales team to fill the pipeline and create sufficient leads.

  • Build and maintain strong and long-lasting working relationships with customers suppliers.

  • Obtain and maintain customer data on the CRM to support sales and marketing activity.

  • Develop an understanding of market forces, industry trends and competitive position and develop plans in response.

  • Identification of key accounts within the business and the opportunities for growth including the current reseller strategy

  • Work collaboratively with sales admin, planning, and production to ensure all customer orders are properly defined using the Customer Enquiry Form to enable first time build, delivery and installation.

  • Find emerging markets, new opportunities and develop products/services to ensure the continued growth and profitability of the business, balancing the portfolio of sales away from local government into private and reseller accounts.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the customers need and respond with products/services that maintain customer loyalty.

  • Negotiate mutually beneficial contracts with customers.

  • Work closely with marketing to increase awareness of products and services.

Essential Requirements -Head of Sales

  • Proven experience in a Sales leadership position in a commercial B2B environment

  • Track record of over-achieving sales targets (must be results focussed)

  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management to drive the Sales function forwards.

  • Excellent presentation skills with ability to create and present to B2B clients.

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills – a strong communicator

  • Proven organisational and planning ability – strong time management skills.

  • Detailed and analytical – able to interpret sales trends / data / insights and put together a corrective action plan where necessary.

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch.

  • Excellent negotiation skills and the tenacity to challenge.
