Kiera Berger has a diverse work experience spanning from 2011 to 2022. Kiera is currently employed as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Pillar Biosciences Incorporated since July 2022. Prior to that, Kiera worked as a Freelance Artist at artbykiera since June 2010, specializing in fine art and cake decorating.

From September 2017 to August 2022, Kiera worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they focused on improving clinical diagnostics of rare diseases through the analysis of RNA-based genetic testing data. Kiera collaborated with researchers from Emory and Harvard Universities to sequence and analyze RNA from patients with various disorders. During the same period, they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, leading biology labs and guiding undergraduates in research proposals related to invasive species.

From June 2014 to July 2016, Kiera worked as a Clinical DNA Testing Laboratory Technician I at PreventionGenetics. Kiera followed SOPs and guidelines to perform PCR, Sanger sequencing, and chromatogram analysis of clinical DNA samples. Kiera also performed a secondary analysis of DNA chromatograms as Mutation Surveyor and trained new technicians in wet lab processes.

From April 2012 to May 2014, Kiera was a Quality Assurance Student Assistant/Environmental Monitor at the University of Minnesota Molecular and Cellular Therapeutics. Kiera'sresponsibilities included monitoring clean rooms, maintaining documentation, and assisting with data entry and clerical work for the Quality Assurance team.

In June to August 2011, Kiera was a Commercial Lending Project Team Member at AnchorBank.
