Jilong Li has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and research. Jilong most recently worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Pillar Biosciences Incorporated since November 2020. Prior to that, they held the same position at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from July 2019 to November 2020. From March 2016 to May 2019, Jilong worked as a Staff Engineer at QIAGEN. Jilong also has experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Missouri-Columbia from January 2011 to February 2016. Jilong's early career includes a role as a Teaching Assistant Professor at Heilongjiang University from July 2003 to December 2010.

Jilong Li obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Heilongjiang University in 1999-2003. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Software and Theory from Harbin Engineering University between 2005 and 2008. Finally, Jilong completed their academic journey by attaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2011 to 2016.
