Tim Wakeham is a skilled metallurgist with extensive experience in the mining industry. Currently serving as a Plant Metallurgist at Pilbara Minerals Limited since March 2022, Wakeham previously held the position of Production Metallurgist at Anglogold Ashanti Tropicana Gold Mine since March 2018. Prior experience includes roles as Plant Metallurgist (Graduate) at AngloGold Ashanti and Metallurgical Technician/Student Metallurgist at Metall. Wakeham has developed and operated comminution and beneficiation processes, including crushing, grinding, magnetic separation, and gravity separation, along with laboratory-scale experience in hydrometallurgical processes such as leaching and flotation of base metals and rare earths. Educational achievements include dual Bachelor’s degrees in Extractive Metallurgy and Chemistry from Murdoch University.
