James da Costa is a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, focusing on investments in B2B and Enterprise AI companies since 2024. As a Co-Founder of Fingo Africa, James is dedicated to developing a pan-African neobank targeting Africa's youth, a role held since 2021. In addition, James has served as an Advisor at Pika, which is creating a foundation model for entertainment, and has been a Researcher at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI). From 2023 to 2024, James also acted as an Investing Partner at Dorm Room Fund. Previously, James worked at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager, concentrating on financial technology, corporate venture capital, and advanced analytics from 2017 to 2021.
