Ryan Sinnet is a Technology Advisor at Piestro. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Control Software Engineer at eSolar from April 2015 to October 2016. Ryan was responsible for designing control algorithms for a field of over 23,000 heliostats (servo mirrors) to maximize power production without destroying the plant. Ryan also designed an automated maintenance system to diagnose and correct failures in the plant without user intervention. In addition, they took ownership of the automated testing framework and revamped and significantly improved test coverage.
Before working at eSolar, Ryan Sinnet was a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University from September 2008 to May 2015.
Ryan Sinnet has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Caltech and both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Ryan also has certification from ServSafe as a food handler.
