Magnus Snorrason is an accomplished expert in computer vision and machine learning, currently serving as Chief Engineer at Ottometric, where responsibility includes strategy and execution of data summarization for extensive ADAS/AV datasets. As Principal at Smart Systems Consulting since 2019, Magnus has been advising companies in the self-driving and robotics sectors. Previous roles include Software Team Lead at Vecna Robotics, where Magnus developed 3D sensing solutions, and Director of Perception at Optimus Ride, focused on L4 self-driving vehicle technology. A co-founder of Boston Imaging and Vision, Magnus contributed to creating the largest computer vision meetup group globally, and held various executive positions at firms such as NextDroid, PIVOTtheWorld, and Lubax, Inc. With a career beginning at Charles River Analytics, where Magnus became VP of the Computer Vision Division, Magnus holds a BA from Harvard University and is ABD in Cognitive & Neural Systems at Boston University.
