Simon Waters is an experienced grants manager currently overseeing the Bell Burnell Graduate Scholarship grants scheme at the Institute of Physics since October 2024. Prior to this role, Simon served as a Grants Manager for UK Grants at The Royal Society and held a significant tenure at East Sussex County Council as a Commissioning & Monitoring Officer, where responsibilities included the commissioning and monitoring of organizations providing short breaks across the region. Simon's extensive background in grants management also includes positions at Arts Council England, where contributions were made to the development and implementation of grants management policy, and earlier roles at Woodlands Art Gallery. Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts - BA Hons in Visual Theories and Arts Administration from the University of East London.
