Mike Heiny, BSN RN, is an experienced operating room nurse with a robust background in surgical nursing and leadership roles. Currently employed at Physicians Regional Healthcare System since April 2023, Mike has accumulated extensive experience as an operating room nurse at North Shore University Health Care from May 2004 to September 2023 and held positions including second shift Charge Nurse at NorthShore University HealthSystem from December 2010 to June 2018. Prior experience includes roles as a surgical nurse at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital and Cancer Treatment Centers of America, as well as serving as a medic in the US Army from October 1985 to February 1993. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing Science and a BSN from Arizona State University, following an Associate Degree in Nursing from College of Lake County.
