Arlene McConnell is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Photonic Inc., Arlene previously held the same title at OSI Maritime Systems, where responsibilities included leading engineering teams and managing system integrations for naval solutions. Prior roles at MDA, Selex-ES, and involvement with the Royal Society of Edinburgh highlight a strong background in systems engineering and advocacy for women in STEM. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Glasgow and a Higher National Diploma in Automotive Engineering from Anniesland College. Additionally, Arlene has experience in coaching and military service as a Regiment Gunner with the Royal Auxiliary Air Force.
