Mike Akers is an experienced professional in marketing partnerships and corporate sales, currently serving as Sr. Sales Manager of Marketing Partnerships for the Phoenix Suns since January 2018. Prior to this role, Mike held the position of Corporate Partnerships Manager for the Arizona Coyotes from January 2014 to January 2018, and served as an Associate Board Member for Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children's Charities from September 2010 to January 2014. Additional experience includes working as an Account Executive for Home Team Marketing and Arena Marketing, where Mike specialized in sponsorship programs for high school athletic events and generated national sponsorship accounts for amateur ice sports complexes. Mike's career began with an internship at the Chicago Bears and included a role as an Account Executive for The Score 670 AM, focusing on new business for the Chicago White Sox Radio Network. Mike earned a degree in Marketing from Carthage College between 2002 and 2006.
