Sara Puglioli is a PhD student at Philochem AG since September 2021, part of the Small Molecules Therapeutic Team, focusing on DNA-Encoded Library technology for discovering small molecule ligands targeting pharmaceutical proteins. Previously, Sara served as a Research Associate in Organic Chemistry at SpiroChem from November 2020 to July 2021, where responsibilities included designing and performing R&D and custom synthesis projects. In 2019, Sara completed a Master Experimental Thesis at the Università degli Studi di Firenze, concentrating on the design and synthesis of new Pannexin-1 channel blockers. Sara commenced a curricular internship at Farmacia Boscarino in mid-2019. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the Università degli Studi di Firenze and a diploma from Liceo Scientifico Guido Castelnuovo.
