Rachel Drian is an experienced communications professional with a focus on strategic messaging and digital engagement. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Communications at the Pew Research Center since June 2014, Rachel has held various roles including Communications Manager and Senior Communications Manager. Prior experience includes consultancy at APCO Worldwide, where Rachel trained clients in social media strategies and managed digital production processes. Previous roles also include research positions at The George Washington University, where Rachel worked on social media analysis of legacy media, and internships at U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and FactCheck.Org, developing online content and writing articles. Rachel holds a Master's degree in Media and Public Affairs from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Public Service from the University of Pennsylvania.
