Wenyuan Gu has two years of work experience. In 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer at Petuum, Inc. where they used image segmentation models to do face parsing and transferred makeup on the reference face image to the user's face. In 2018, they worked as a Graduate Intern at CryptoPets where they wrote code to realize functionality on the smart contract, monitored transactions on the etherscan, and crawled data from blockchain to analyze cost and profit and sales information.

Wenyuan Gu completed a Master's degree in Computer Science at Rice University from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2013 to 2017.
