Waseem Ahmed is an experienced financial executive with a career spanning over two decades in various leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at PETRONAS since January 2011, Waseem established essential finance, accounts, admin, and HR departments and implemented an ERP system. Previously, Waseem held the same position at Rasmala Investment Bank Ltd, where the finance and accounts departments were set up for Riyadh and Jeddah branches. Waseem's expertise includes leading financial operations at Huennebeck Emirates LLC, Mammut, Kashmir Polytex Limited, Abacus International, and Tristar Shipping Lines Limited. Waseem holds a CMA certification from the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan, along with a Master's degree in Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce from Karachi University, as well as an MBA degree from WCIMT.
