Emad Elsebakhi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, currently serving as the Chief Data Scientist and Head of Data Science at PETRONAS since April 2018. In this role, Emad leads a team focused on innovative R&D technologies and big data analytics to enhance operational efficiency in the oil and gas sector. Previously, Emad held prominent positions at GE Digital, Sidra Medicine, Elsevier, and LexisNexis Risk Solutions, where key contributions included advancing AI-driven solutions in healthcare and biomedicine. Academic involvement includes teaching roles and research at institutions such as King Fahd University and Cornell University, coupled with advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Statistics from Cornell University.
