Basler currently is a Trustee at Perkins’ Board of Trustees, and was founding chair of the Trust Board, where she led the school’s first-ever comprehensive capital campaign. She created and co-chairs the annual Perkins Possibilities Gala. Basler has worked as a marketer, advertising executive and advisor to several nonprofits and startups. She has been dedicated to helping charities find their voice for more than 25 years. Basler conceptualized BlindNewWorld, a grassroots movement that seeks to change people’s perceptions of blindness and promote inclusion.
