Rodney Swartz, PhD, is an associate at McDermott Will & Emery since April 2022, previously serving as an associate editor for the Santa Clara High Technology Law Journal and as a research assistant to Professor Colleen Chien at Santa Clara University School of Law. Swartz has extensive experience in intellectual property law and engineering, including roles at SRI International and as a summer associate at McDermott Will & Emery. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law from Santa Clara University, a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Chemistry from Princeton University, a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Washington, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Purdue University.
