Mimi Chiahemen has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mimi is currently working as the Head of Communications at PERFORMA, a position they started in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Euromoney Institutional Investor from 2017 to 2023, where they held the roles of Global Head of Well-Being and Career Development, as well as Managing Editor. Mimi Chiahemen began their education at the American International School of Johannesburg, where they completed their high school education from 2003 to 2007. Mimi later pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies at The University of British Columbia from 2007 to 2011. Mimi continued their academic journey at New York University, earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication and Media Studies from 2012 to 2014.
Additionally, Mimi obtained certifications throughout their career. In December 2018, they completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training from Yoga Alliance Professionals. Most recently, in February 2022, they successfully obtained a certification in "Fighting Gender Bias at Work" from LinkedIn.
