Nereida Garcia Ferraz has extensive experience in the art sector, currently serving as an Artist in Residence for the Brick x Brick Art Program at Pérez Art Museum Miami since January 2010. Previously, Nereida collaborated on the "Women on the Rise" project at MOCA, focusing on themes of identity and art. Nereida also worked as an Artist Curator at 801 Projects from 2005 to 2010, producing notable exhibits such as "Matinee" and "Imperfect Archival." Earlier experience includes a role as a visiting scholar at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2000-2001. Nereida holds a BFA in Photography and Film from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where studies were completed from 1976 to 1981.
