Joe Essner is an experienced systems engineering professional with a robust background in system performance modeling, requirements analysis, and engineering management. Currently serving as a System Engineering Manager at Peraton since May 2021, Joe previously held the role of Systems Engineer Manager at Perspecta from September 2013 to May 2021 and worked as a Systems Engineer at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems from August 2003 to September 2013. Joe's expertise includes managing personnel and budgets within engineering teams, leading performance trade studies, and ensuring effective configuration control. Joe's educational background includes a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering Dynamics and Controls from the University of Southern California, paired with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
