Jonas Stray is an accomplished Advanced Analytics Architect at Pepkor IT since May 2024, previously serving as the Lead Data Scientist at Pepkor Holdings Limited from May 2020 to May 2024, where ownership of multiple software solution projects focused on machine learning, artificial intelligence, and mathematical programming enhanced operations across the Pepkor Group. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Data Scientist at Pepkor Group Services (2017-2020), where Jonas led predictive and prescriptive analytics projects, and as a Lecturer at the University of Cape Town and Senior Lecturer at the University College of Borås, focusing on statistical sciences and operations research. Jonas also founded Stray Quality Consulting, providing expertise in statistical quality control, and held various management roles in quality and production across different companies. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Operations Research from Stellenbosch University, an M.S.E. in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University, and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Borås.
