Sergio Mainetti has extensive experience in humanitarian and development programs, with a current role as Head of Programme at INTERSOS since January 2022, having also served as Program Coordinator and Acting Country Director. Concurrently, Sergio serves as a Programme Support Expert for UNDP's Global Policy Network since October 2021, providing rapid response expertise. From 2011 to 2019, Sergio represented CBM International as Country Representative in multiple countries, including Zambia, Malawi, and Nigeria, overseeing strategic development and partnerships. Other roles include Country Coordinator for South Sudan and project officer for Sudan and Ethiopia, complemented by early career positions focused on orthotic services and training. Sergio holds a Master’s degree in Humanitarian Logistics and Management from USI Università della Svizzera italiana.
