Matt Nurkin has a diverse work experience in the investment and real estate industry. Matt is currently serving as the Managing Director of Investments at The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Prior to this, they worked as the Principal at Southampton Advisors, LLC. From 2016 to 2019, they held the position of Managing Director at HealthCap Partners. Matt also worked at Lend Lease as the SVP/General Manager and Southeast Director of Healthcare Development. Earlier in their career, they held the role of President, MidAtlantic at Cogdell Spencer ERDMAN and Director, Acquisitions at Cogdell Spencer Inc.

Matt Nurkin has a diverse education history. In 1992, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Wake Forest University. Later on in 1991, they pursued Graduate Studies in English Literature at the University of Oxford. In 2007, Nurkin earned a Masters degree in Business Administration from UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business. Finally, in 2016, they participated in the Executive Education Lend Lease Senior Leadership Development Program at INSEAD.
