David Gindhart is an experienced IT leader with a strong background in higher education and military service. Currently serving as Associate Vice President at Penn State University since July 2008, David oversees a $15M division comprising various teams in HR, Finance ERP, and distributed IT, while sponsoring significant IT initiatives including an $18M mobile credentials project. Previously, David held the position of Associate CIO, leading a team that provided consolidated IT services to a vast customer base. Throughout David's career, which began as an Air Force Officer, David has gained extensive expertise in program management, budgeting, and IT infrastructure, notably managing a $120M annual budget as Program Director for the Global Combat Support System-Air Force. David holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Penn State University.
